  • LA Metro Division 9: Bus Electrification Infrastructure Tour  – Get an inside look at LA Metro’s transition to a zero-emissions fleet with a tour of Division 9, one of the agency’s key battery electric bus facilities. Participants will explore the advanced infrastructure powering electric bus operations, including charging systems, vehicle maintenance areas, and energy distribution technology. Learn how LA Metro is scaling its electrification strategy to support sustainability, operational reliability, and regional climate goals.
  • LAX/Metro Transit Center Tour  – Discover how LA Metro is transforming the travel experience to and from one of the world’s busiest airports. This tour highlights the newly constructed LAX/Metro Transit Center Station and its seamless connection to the forthcoming Automated People Mover (APM) which is being built by the Los Angeles World Airports.   • Security Operations and Emergency Management Tour – Step behind the scenes at LA Metro’s Emergency & Security Operations Center (ESOC), which co-locates its Security Operations Center and Emergency Operations Center. This tour offers a firsthand look at how Metro monitors real-time activity across the network, responds to incidents through a multi-layered approach, and coordinates emergency management for major emergencies and special events. Learn how technology, unified operations coordination, and data-driven strategies help ensure rider safety and system resilience. 
  • Art at LA Metro Stations Tour – Experience how dynamic artworks transform daily commutes into cultural journeys in the arts capital of the nation! Staff from the award-winning Metro Art program will guide participants through key stations showcasing architecturally integrated artworks, as well as temporary artworks that keep things fresh. This tour will highlight the role of art in creating vibrant, inclusive, and community-connected transit spaces, while reinforcing Metro’s commitment to celebrating the diversity of the region.

UITP’s Authorities Division brings together transport authorities from around the world to exchange knowledge and shape the future of urban mobility. UITP Parking Transformation Group

The UITP Parking Transformation Working Group convenes a dynamic coalition of international experts, public transport and mobility authorities, operators, technology providers, industry stakeholders, and researchers. The group’s mission is to collaboratively develop a strategic agenda to drive parking policy reform and parking infrastructure transformation. This session will provide a platform for discussions on how diverse stakeholders are reimagining the role of parking within the broader context of sustainable urban mobility.

Driving the adoption of Open-Loop Payments Workshop

Join us for an in-person workshop on adopting open-loop payments
in public transit, with a focus on what matters most: passenger
adoption. Transitioning to open-loop systems is a major investment for
transit agencies, but success depends on riders embracing the change.
This interactive session will share practical strategies to accelerate
adoption, highlight lessons learned from public transport authorities
and operators, and explore solutions to common implementation
challenges.

Public Transport and Large Events Workshop

As Los Angeles prepares to host major upcoming events—including
the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl LXI, and the LA28 Olympic

for transit professionals and event stakeholders to come together
and share expertise.

We will be joined by global experts who have planned transportation for past and upcoming Olympics, FIFA World Cups, UEFA tournaments,
